A quiet, pleasant all-inclusive package option in an isolated location not directly on the beach. Well removed from any amenities, with desert for miles on either side, it would suit budget holidaymakers happy with the sun, occasional sea and limited on-site facilities. A shuttle bus takes guests to the beach club. ATM. Rated 4 star but is more of a 3 star standard.

Interior

An unfussy bright interior comprising an airy split-level lobby with a yellow and blue decor, tiled floors, some wrought iron seating and a small bar. The compact main cane-furnished buffet restaurant is alongside. A simple first-floor evening bar has a terrace which overlooks the road and sea. A small steakhouse and informal Italian restaurant are also available.

Grounds

Pleasant grounds with rather sparse vegetation; 2 good-sized brick pool surrounds provide loungers and parasols. One has a swim up bar and there is a small raised terrace with tables and chairs. An inviting shisha pipe café has a pool table and small terrace and is next to a couple of souvenir shops. There is a small beach club across the road which has loungers, parasols and a bar/snack bar.

Location

Area Type: On the inland side of the narrow main desert road in an isolated location backed by dramatic low desert mountains; the barren desert surrounds and is littered with the skeletons of buildings. A security checkpoint to the Taba area is nearby and a military building is opposite; helicopter landing pad adjacent. No amenities in the vicinity. Taba town 8 mls. Taba Heights 5mls.
