Hilton Taba Resort & Nelson Village

A lively, comfortable but remote self-contained establishment which offers a reasonable range of facilities including a souvenir shopping mall and a casino. The pool areas may get overcrowded in high season and the beach is very narrow. Suits holidaymakers happy to stay beside the beach or pool with the occasional day trip. A separate extension to the property is within the grounds and consists of 84 rooms. There are amenities in a neighbouring hotel but that's about it. Due to the proximity to the Isaeli border, security around the hotel is tight.

Interior

A conventional spacious interior has a large, curved cream-hued lobby with a low ceiling, cream seating and picture windows with sea views; it extends to a large lounge bar with a cool blue décor, piano and stage and a small cane-furnished section with pool views. A wide range of eating venues include a sizeable split-level main buffet restaurant with an an oudoor patio, a traditional Arabic eatery which has a shisha pipe corner, a beachside Italian and an American-style pub.

Grounds

A tiled pool terrace boasts a boat-shaped bar which is reached by a bridge and has a swim-up section; an upper sun deck is backed by a rocky hill and ample matressed loungers are provided. The narrow man-made rock and sand beach has a jetty, dive centre, and a row of closely packed loungers and thatched parasols; fine views of mountains across the gulf.
