Tropicana Sea Beach Hotel

Built in a U-shape facing the sea, the Tropicana Sea Beach has a large swimming pool area with waterslides thereby appealing to families as much as couples. Most of the facilities are on a single level although there are some steps.

There is a mown lawn verge and palm trees at the gatehouse to the property with a long drive leading through undeveloped land to a stunning Moorish style main building. The pink coloured turreted walls and traditional domes top the high rounded central arches over the glas- fronted entrance and windows overlook a central grassed area.

Interior

The large foyer has decorated marble-effect flooring and features comfortable armchairs and chairs. The reception desk is set half way down, past the lobby bar that has wooden flooring, white walls and soft brown chairs. The main restaurant is situated off the lobby and features a large buffet service area and comfortable, well-spaced settings with windows looking out towards the sea. Beyond the shop is a terrace furnished with attractive black rattan furnishing and a view over the pool deck and this is the location of the Italian a-la-carte restaurant with a bright ambience, wooden, cushioned chairs and grey floor tiling. Opposite is the Chinese a-la-carte restaurant with much darker colourings.

Grounds

The centre-piece of the property is a huge lagoon-style swimming pool complete with 2 water slides and a pagoda style swim-up bar reached by a bridge for those not yet submerged! There are wooden sun-loungers located around the pool and on the wide coarse sand beach which also has fixed palm-frond parasols in regimental lines. The 365 rooms are situated in 3-storey blocks all facing towards the pool and sea.

Area Type: The Tropicana Sea Beach occupies a prime beach location towards the end of the 3 km stretch of resort properties at Nabq Bay. It borders the Jaz Mirabel complex on one side and the Regency Plaza to the other. The shops, bazaars and restaurants of the resort centre are within easy reach. 16 km away is the nightlife area of Na’ama Bay which can be reached by taxi usually taking the Peace Road past the airport. Transfer time to Sharm el Sheikh Airport 15 minutes.
