A deceptively large property with an appeal across the ages for couples and families alike. Although there is a beach facility nearby, the establishment has an enormous waterpark with waterslides and a wave machine in addition to 2 lagoon-style pools in the main section. For those that need easy access to all facilities, the hotel can, by prior notice, allocate rooms in the mid low floor section of the first block.

Exterior

A U-shaped drive leads from the quiet main road with neatly trimmed foliage borders, mown lawns and shrubbery hedges. The imposing 2-storey pink main building has a an impressive columned entrance foyer which is connected to a higher central lobby building topped by a traditional cooling domed roof.

Interior

The entrance foyer is dominated by a brass statuette of a horse on a plinth and modern art hanging on the curved walls. Through the arch is the main reception area of white marble floors and a columned circular atrium. There is a central sunken seating area furnished with pink sofas with, on the one side, the Reception Desk and the other a large window frontage overlooking the pool area. A stairway leads up to the main bar which has a mirrored drinks display, terracotta-coloured walls and comfortable blue seating with tables. The main Palm Restaurant is situated adjacent to the reception building in a large circular fronted building with panoramic windows overlooking the pool area. This is a bright, high and spacious area with the buffet servery towards the back and with lattice style wooden and cushioned seating.

Grounds

As imposing as the main building is, it belies the size of the resort area beyond! Around the grounds, the 401 rooms are located in six pink-coloured blocks, 4 of which overlook the pools and 2 overlooking a huge Bedouin tented area with low soft authentic seating and the venue for nightly entertainment. Adjacent to that there is a staffed children's club and play area. Another of the 6 bars is located by the large lagoon shaped main swimming pool around which there are fixed parasols and plenty of sturdy plastic sun-loungers with mattresses. Possibly the most impressive aspect of the hotel is the waterpark which has 8 further swimming pools including a wave machine and numerous winding waterslides occupying a large area behind the main spread.

Area Type: Situated landside just before the roundabout marking the main spread of Nabq Bay. Here there are many shops, bazaars and restaurants lending a resort feel. With no immediate neighbouring hotels, the Radisson SAS Golden Resort is directly opposite beachside and there is a public beach next to the Grand Plaza Resort adjacent to that. The distance from Na’ama Bay, with its vibrant nightlife, is 12 km usually reached via the Peace Road passing the airport. Transfer time to Sharm el Sheikh Airport 15 minutes.
