Laguna Vista Beach Resort
The descriptive literature provided by the property describes the style as ‘Sinai Nature’ which rather belies the fact that it resembles a set on the latest Indiana Jones movie. This is a large property with grounds stretching more than 500m to the sea front. Carefully landscaped gardens, attractive bougainvillea clad rooms and a swimming pool complex that has quiet and lively areas does make this one of the more attractive beachside properties in Nabq Bay with facilities for young and old alike.
Exterior
The arched gateway to the property leads through to a landscaped lawn and palm frontage with car parking to the side. A large portico extends from the entrance supported by ancient Egyptian style columns and the pink exterior of the 1 and 2-storey high main building has the same style of many other properties.

Storeys: 3
Built Year: 2001
Interior
There the similarity ends. The entrance has an imposing reproduction of an ancient doorway with giant clay pots and a feature horse-drawn carriage which sets the tone for the auditorium beyond. Towering 2 floors, a carefully crafted vision of columns, foliage and authentic pots perched on sculptured rocks gives the impression of entering a great museum with the reception area appearing to have been crafted out of rock. There are several seating areas of tasteful chairs and tables with a shopping mall branching off to one side. Tall windows at the back allow sunlight to brighten up the lobby bar area and, adjacent to this, the Kahramana, the main buffet restaurant, with tiled floors and rattan furniture.
Rooms: 368
Grounds
Beyond this lie the grounds with doors opening on to a broad terrace with soft comfortable seating from where an overview of the layout can be appreciated. A total of 368 rooms are spread between the two 3-storey wings that extend either side of the main building and the 1 and 2-storey chalets closer to the beach. The natural and sculptured rock effect continues through the grounds and around the pools, the main one of which is lagoon shaped and features a lazy river running through the landscaped gardens. There are a total of 13 pools but these include those that are features of the suites, 1 for children and an indoor pool at the large spa centre that also offers massage and treatment services. Closer to the beach there is the Which Way Bar serving snacks in an alfresco and the Dua Dua Italian a-la-carte and disco.. On the opposite side of the beach is the Pataya Seafood Restaurant offering dining in stilted huts and here there is another small pool and lively bar. The beach is wide and sandy with the waters ankle deep for some way. There are ample wooden and sturdy plastic mattressed sun-loungers, parasols and wicker wind-breaks.
