Iberotel Palace

The Iberotel Palace benefits from being in the old town area in which there are shops and other attractions within easy reach. Although a short distance from Na'ama Bay, it has the added advantage of a broad sandy beach which, due to it's expanse, is less crowded. This is a moderate size complex within mature grounds and has a wide range of facilities for families and couples with any lively activity, generally, concentrated on the sands.

Exterior

A narrow strip of lawn and shrubs separates the parking area in front of the property from the 2-storey high white main building. The set-down area is under a Georgian style portico reached by a semi-circular ramped drive way to the glass frontage.

Interior

An elegant foyer with a dome painted with murals of palms gives the impression of a much older property - in a positive way! There is a terracotta tinge to the marble-effect flooring, a large chandelier and clusters of soft seating. From the foyer, there is a passage of bazaar-style shops in one direction and the Pappagello lobby bar in another, the latter creating an aire of the old hotel with it's brass fixtures and wood panelling. La Toscana, the Italian a-la-carte restaurant is also accessed from the foyer while, downstairs, La Coupole main buffet restaurant has a circular frontage with indoor and terrace seating. Accessed from outside, the spa has an indoor swimming pool in addition to massage and sauna facilities.

Grounds

Beyond the main building, attractive gardens are a feature of the grounds with the 254 rooms surrounding the 2-tier swimming pool in four 3-storey white painted blocks. The paved area around the pools is well equipped with sturdy sun-loungers and parasols. Overlooking the beach, there is an English-style pub and the Blue Marlin a-la-carte restaurant with terrace seating. The beach itself is broad and sandy with snack and bar facilities in addition to neat rows of palm-frond parasols and sun-loungers. There is a climbing frame for children and a variety of water-sports in the bay.

Area Type: The Iberotel Palace is located in the Old Town overlooking Maya Bay. There is a shopping Mall opposite which includes an Irish Bar and, beyond that, the Old Market. The property is within the vicinity of the port and marina and there are a number of restaurants nearby. Both the Aqua Park and the entertainment complex of Alf Laila Wa Laila are within 3 km. It’s immediate neighbours are the Seti Sharm and the Barracuda Sharm with the main nightlife area of Na’ama Bay 10 km away. Transfer time to Sharm el Sheikh Airport 15 minutes.
