Hauza Beach Hotel

A sizeable self-contained establishment with a distinctive Nubian design and although attractive, can be bland and unelaborate in parts. Particularly suited to families, it offers plenty of activities & facilities including an unusual fun pool, mini-golf and a dive centre. The mini-zoo is uneasily cramped with a selection of rather moth eaten animals in too-small enclosures. Attracts many Russian guests.

Interior

The cool spacious terracotta and cream interior has an attractive open-plan design with low Arabic wooden chairs, and opens to a large empty terrace. A bustling buffet restaurant has yellow walls and wooden tables and chairs.

Grounds

Pleasant, slightly sloping grounds are linked by crazy paved pathways and have a central fountain courtyard. A 5-level rock-edged fun pool is tiered down a hill and boasts 3 water-slides and a water climbing wall. A second pool area features mattressed beds with shades, a 24 hour bar/snack bar and there is an open-air amphitheatre for evening entertainment. A mini zoo houses crocs, snakes, turtles, birds, chimps, ostritch and deer, and camel & pony rides are available. The private coral beach has a dive centre and fixed jetty and is split into 3 sections for animation, sport and relaxation; 2 small natural seawater lagoons can be found in the stony sea bed. A casual beach bar and pizzeria is under wicker shade and a pleasant fish a la carte restaurant under a wooden pergola overlooks the sea.
