The tone is set immediately upon arrival with a striking architectural design incorporating water features. The lobby is stylishly furnished and the grounds attractively landscaped around the huge pool terraces.

With a choice of board arrangements and dining venues, this is suited to couples and family parties that seek the proximity to the nightlife although those with walking difficulties may find access to the main restaurant upstairs difficult.

Exterior

A narrow stretch of garden stands between the main road and the set down area in front of an attractive water feature crossed by a balustrade walkway leading to the double height main building.

A smart Moorish design wooden colonnade runs the length of the building supported on columns. The ground- floor has large square tinted glass windows with traditional trellis covered arched windows to the higher level.

Interior

The expansive 2-tier reception lobby has patterned effect floor tiling and brass balustrades to the upper level and stairway with a central hexagonal colonnade topped with glass domed roof. Chandeliers and an abundance of greenery including a central garden add to the general decor.

The reception counter stands to one end with comfortably furnished lobby bar to the other. Above, there is a reception lounge with deep cushioned furnishings and pool table corner with internet stations. The main restaurant is situated upstairs causing some access problems with further ala carte options and a cafe in the Y-shaped main building.

Grounds

Accommodation is located in clusters of 2-storey V-shaped buildings each with terraced or balconied rooms. The central and predominant feature of the grounds is the extensive pool network criss-crossed by wooden arched bridges.

A grill bar with bistro style furnishings is located on one of the integral islands with the sunset bar on another. Palm trees and neat shrubberies line the parasol and sunloungers adorned terrace.

Towards the rear of the property there is a children’s club and separate pool. Beach facilities, with dedicated bar, are accessed through the grounds of the sister property Ghazala Beach opposite.
