Camel Dive Club & Hotel
Before Naama Bay became so developed, this was a dive centre with an eventual progression to a hotel. The dive centre is still central to the ethos but, around it, this boutique, stylish property has been added.
There is a choice of board basis and the dining venues are popular with passing trade too. Of particular appeal is the famous Peanut Bar and upstairs roof terrace which together are one of the trendiest drinking holes in town.
Although there is a small pool deck, this property is suited to those who will be out all day and ready to relax at night.
Exterior
A line of low shrubs in troughs separates the wide pavement, heavily furnished with black rattan style, white cushioned furnishing, from the busy thoroughfare. Souvenir style shops and a patisserie, both integral to the property, line the ground floor of double height, white facaded building. The entrance is single height, with sloping tiled roof, between the 2 wings and has a glass frontage.

Interior
What the lobby lacks in size, it makes up for in decor. The small integral reception counter stands across the polished tiles and dark stone clad wall adorned with local works of art. Seating is limited to modern style chrome framed armchairs with cushions in a small lounge area in front of the double height glass wall looking over the courtyard.
A flight of stairs, without railings and an internal shrubbery are the other features. The main restaurant is adjacent to this area and has polished marble flooring, white walls and red cushioned wooden framed chairs and benches at predominantly square tables which spill out onto the street. The peanut bar is located upstairs with a further stairway leading to the rooftop terrace bar.
Rooms: 38
Grounds
An outer courtyard, overlooked by some rooms in the first 2-storey wing, is the setting for the outdoor restaurants with open kitchen servery. The main grounds are situated towards the rear where there is a small swimming pool surrounded by paved terrace furnished with sunloungers and cloth parasols. The remaining accommodation circles this area, located in 2-storey white facaded wings with either terraces or balconies looking inwards.
