A large property with spacious grounds including 2 swimming pools. The main restaurant is a little characterless but there are a-la-carte venues tastefully furnished. The shisha corner by the river is particularly popular at sunset and, with a choice of meal arrangements, it is suited for adults and families.

Exterior

A long 6-storey frontage runs parallel to the street with balconied rooms looking either directly or diagonally along the thoroughfare. Integral shop units have been incorporated along much of the ground-floor with the a small drop of area shielded from the traffic by a small shrubbery.

A large white portico supported on dark columns covers the glass fronted entrance to the side of which is an attractive garden.

Interior

The expansive open plan lobby has polished marble flooring and bold onyx-coloured pillars with brass trimmings. In addition to the illuminated reception counter, there is ample soft cushioned seating with a tiered layer housing more intimate areas.

The main bar with solid wood servery is located to one end beyond which is the main restaurant with its outer wall comprising net curtained floor-to-ceiling windows with limited view.

The Italian and Asian restaurants, both with indoor and outdoor dining, occupy the ground-floor of the south wing between which there is a small business centre and games room including pool table.

Grounds

The grounds are heavily planted with shrubs and lawns surrounding the first pool on the higher tier of the terraced gardens. This is overlooked by a coffee shop and entrance to the nightclub.

Towards the rear is a large fitness room and squash court. Steps lead down to a much wider terrace level where the larger lagoon-style pool with footbridge takes the focal point.

There is a large number of sunloungers and fixed wooden parasols throughout. Overlooking the river is a wooden decked shisha lounge with traditional low cushioned furnishings.

Area Type: Standing on the east bank of the river on Sharia Khalid Ibn Walid thoroughfare heading south out of city, a street with several hotel, bazaars, restaurants and street cafes. The Corniche is 15 min stroll with Luxor Temple 15 mins further. The main shopping area of the city and railway station is 25 mins stroll. Transfer to Luxor Airport 20 mins.
