Interior

The circular reception foyer has marble-effect flooring and is overlooked by 2 open-plan tiers upon which there is a coffee shop and lobby bar reached by a central stairway. There are clusters of comfortable soft seats and, towards the rear, a room with pool tables. 2 very small lifts serve this 367 room property with 2 floors below reception and 4 above although wide walkways and stairways connect to each floor with a central open atrium looking on to a small rockery. A corridor leads from the foyer past a shopping arcade to the southern wing where the small spa featuring a gym, sauna, massage facility and hairdresser is located. The main dining outlets are located here with an Oriental a-la-carte restaurant on the same level, the Aida buffet restaurant offering panoramic views from a circular seating area one floor down and an Italian a-la-carte on the ground floor next to a childrens club with small outdoor pool.

Grounds

The grounds of the property occupy a large beach frontage and can be divided in to 3 areas. Firstly, the pool deck is adjacent to the 2nd-floor Aida Restaurant reached through a soft furnished Shisha lounge. Plastic tables, chairs and sun loungers are readily available with 2 bar areas offering additional seating and, on ground level, is the El Sol, an additional buffet restaurant. This overlooks the broad sandy beach which is shaded by palms and other shrubs and furnished with wooden sun-loungers, parasols and wicker wind-breaks. The last area is a raised natural breakwater which creates a lagoon off the main beach and is also furnished with sun loungers and parasols. Dive boats are moored at a jetty to the side.

Area Type: The Sunrise Holidays Resort is located on the beachside of the Corniche Road only 500 m from the centre of the town. On one side of the property and opposite are blocks of residential accommodation while the ground immediately next to it town side are undeveloped. Transfer time to Hurghada Airport 15 minutes.
