Despite a somewhat uninspiring entrance off of the frenetic main street, it is hard to imagine that the grounds to this large resort could possibly be large enough to hold so many facilities. Perhaps that’s why it has two distinct entrances.



What it lacks in appearance from the outside, it makes up for within with stylishly appointed public areas and attractively landscaped grounds, pools and accommodation blocks. Would appeal for all ages including families with children but avoid the front facing rooms.

Exterior

Two entrance property, the first being the original, stands a few metres back from the busy street and accessed by a series of stairs under an arched portico to an arched glass frontage. Upper floors resemble a prefab office block with grey, cement facade. The second entrance is just off the main road.

Interior

Accessed from the main entrance, the principal lobby is 3-storeys high and has an intricate network of open spiral stairways leading up from the patterned marble floor. There are brass topped, glass partitioned balustrades and potted shrubs.



The semicircular reception desk stands to one corner of a sparsely but attractively furnished lounge. The main restaurant has floor to ceiling windows, polished tiled flooring furnished with dark wooden high backed and cushioned chairs at predominantly square tables.

Grounds

Most striking feature of the grounds is the elevated, control tower-like a la carte restaurant which towers over the pool decks. Decks are on various levels and include a water fall feature and water slide facility. All are surrounded by a wide terrace furnished with sunloungers and parasols.



Majority of accommodation is located in the 2 and 3-storey white faced wings that span out from the main building in to the gardens. There is a large entertainment complex and further dining facilities towards the rear closer to the beach which, itself, is furnished with wooden fixed parasols and plastic framed, mattress sunloungers.
