Beach Albatros Garden Hurghada

Despite its name, this property is located on the land side of the beach road but does have a fully serviced facility at its sister property opposite. The amount of water features within the compact grounds, however, could justify the use of the word ‘beach’!

Internal areas are stylishly designed and there is a choice of dining venue. Grounds around the various pools and beneath the water shoots are busy and lively with the families attracted by the extensive facilities.

Exterior

gardens adorned with palm trees to a large terracotta-coloured triple arched gate house through which the parking area and a row of shops is reached. Immediately in front is a portico with a polished marble forecourt and ornamental lights which is actually the frontage of the hotel and tourism college.

The somewhat less imposing main entrance is located on the right-hand side marked by a single-storey main building with a terracotta-coloured facade, square columns supported portico with green tile roofing. A few steps lead across the polished marble forecourt to the double door entrance.

Interior

The grey effect polished marble flooring continues into the lobby which is furnished by heavy wooden framed armchairs with cushions standing on rugs. The long reception counter is wooden fronted as is the lobby bar which has lighter wooden framed chairs. Towards the rear is an additional lounge with pool tables.

The main restaurant is situated in an adjacent building and, with high backed wooden framed chairs at predominantly square tables, overlooks the gardens and waterpark. Additional a la carte restaurants, including the Italian and Chinese venues, are accessed from a terrace behind reception lobby and each has individual decor.

Grounds

Grounds are dominated by the pools and Aqua Park each of which has a broad terrace furnished with sunloungers and parasols. A child’s play area and club is situated towards the rear of the pools.

Accommodation is located in a cluster of five 3-storey high, terracotta coloured buildings which overlook tidy gardens bordered by chequered tiled paving with the much larger block of two wings, 5-storey high to the southern side of the resort.

Away from the swimming pool deck, are attractively laid to lawn with some trees and shrubs. Other facilities, such as tennis courts and amphitheatre, are located within the boundary of the adjoining Aqua Blue resort which is part of the same complex and has additional swimming pools.

Area Type: Located to the S of the resort, opposite sister property of Albatros Palace and set back, on the beach side, from the main road that runs from the town centre, across desert, to Sahl Hasheesh. Along the road, usually adjacent to entrances of other properties, there are rows of shops with the main shopping area in Sakkala, 15-mins taxi away where there are restaurants and bars. Transfer to Hurghada Airport 15-mins.
