Aladdin Beach Resort
Opinion
This property can, for description purposes, be split in to 2 aspects the first being the stylish foyer hall and attractively laid-out gardens around the cottage style rooms. The second half consists of the pool-deck area, with a lively animation team, and the beach area both of which have a busy feel. With a sister-property either side, the management consider this to be their mid-range product catering for families as well as couples. It can be noted that most of the facilities are on a single-level although there is some distance from the main restaurant to the pool and beach areas.
Exterior
A palm and hedge-lined cobbled drive leads down from the road to the main building which has an attractive oriental-style slatted portico supported on pillars. 4 wide steps lead up to the full length glass-fronted reception area while, to the right, the gap between the main building and another block reveals the first glimpse of the grounds beyond with a giant Aladdin statue marking the entrance to the disco.
Property type: Hotel
Storeys: 2
Built Year: 1998
Interior
The foyer is spacious and predominantly white with attractive plants trailing over the 2-tiers of open plan floors. A brass-railed stairway sweeps up from the marble-effect floor to a conference suite, children's club and an Irish Bar, complete with pool table. On the ground floor there are comfortable soft seating areas with table service drinks as well as a 24-hour lobby bar towards the back. The Agrabah main buffet restaurant has spaciously positioned square tables and sturdy wooden, cushioned furnishings.
Rooms: 420
Grounds
The grounds contain most of the facilities with the section nearest the main building housing 420 rooms in 2-storey stone-clad blocks and terraces of attractive red-brick bougainvillea-clad cottage style rooms past which weave dainty walkways bordered by flower beds and shrubs. The pool deck is paved with plenty of sun-loungers and parasols and is served by a snack bar and entertainment team. Closer to the beach is a raised pool area shared with the Jasmine Resort. The sandy beach is not as broad as others along this stretch but is adequately furnished with sun-loungers, wind-breaks and heavily anchored parasols.
