A large property in a prominent position at the marina and has a large main pool and a quieter pool deck opposite the 2nd wing. The gardens are attractive, if narrow and there is no beach other than a small, crowded stretch at the end.

This is a suitable choice for couples and families, certainly if the short transfer to the main beach is acceptable.

Exterior

The cobbled drive that runs around the southern side of the marina leads under the arched portico of the 2nd wing of the 4-storey pastel coloured property and up to the set down area in front of the main reception.

The forecourt is paved with flag stones and embedded with shrubberies with a path way leading up to a squared arch within a Moorish-style facade.

Interior

An open doorway leads on to a small open roofed, hexagonal foyer off which, under colonnaded walls, stands the short reception counter. The main restaurant is located in the adjoining wing and has seating both inside and spread across the narrow terrace.

The 2nd-wing also has a reception desk and bar with guests generally reporting directly to the main building, the difference between the wings being the views from the room. It is here that the small spa facility include Jacuzzi, and the fitness centre is located.

Grounds

The grounds between the main building and lagoon are narrow but carefully tendered with neat shrubberies and lawns as well as attractive seating areas leading up to the large main pool which offers day time activities and a good supply of sunloungers and parasol.

The rooms here generally have panoramic views of the marina and lagoon, many reached by tidy paved paths overflowing with greenery. At the 2nd building, there is an inner open courtyard with metal patio style furnishings shaded both by the building and integral palm trees.

Overlooking the marina, opposite its front entrance, is the 2nd pool designated as a quiet area with separate snack bar and furnished with sunloungers.

Area Type: Located to the north east of Downtown in this purpose built resort on a finger of land bordering lagoons with the eastern end fronting the sea. To the front is the Abu Tig Marina with its large yachts, shops and bars. From the rear, the property overlooks the Sheraton Miramar Resort. A walk to the shops and restaurants of Downtown a 30 mins away, although a shuttle bus and tuk-tuks operate. Transfer to Hurghada Airport 30 mins.

Nearest beach: 10 mins (El Gouna)
