Ali Pasha Hotel
Opinion
This is a relatively large property but with only a few facilities including 2 small pools but its location, by the marina, appeals to those that are out all day including divers and other sporting enthusiasts.
The restaurant has an Indian cuisine theme which appeals to many and, for those not in to curry, the venues of the marina are on the doorstep where there is a lively ambience.
Exterior
The building borders the street that runs to the marina and faces a large undeveloped area to the side. The 2-storey structure has a terracotta and pastel shade facade and is not particularly striking in design resembling more a Mediterranean Europe street scene.
The main entrance, however, points towards the marina and has a path leading through an attractive garden and past the 1st small pool to the front door.
Property type: Hotel
Storeys: 3
Built Year: 1990
Exterior: Building
Interior
The double wood framed glass doors open on to a small foyer which has space only for the one double seater sofa. In addition to another set of doors leading outside, an internal set open on to the reception area similarly tight on space. Both areas have tiled flooring, wooden door and window frames and pastel-coloured walls.
The restaurant is located in a separate building at the front, beside the garden and adjacent to some suite accommodation. The Moorish-style of the internal dining area is bright and attractive and this is a dedicated Indian fayre venue.
Rooms: 68
Grounds
In addition to the neat garden and pool at the front, there is a second pool located behind the foyer in a triangular courtyard created by the non-balconied rooms that over look it, its terrace surround and some sunloungers. Otherwise, the extent of the grounds at this property are limited other than a further terrace in front of the restaurant overlooking the marina.
Location
Area Type: Occupying a position overlooking the Abu Tiq Marina in the north of the purpose built resort, there are some restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity with its nearest neighbour being the Ocean View Resort. A shuttle bus and tuk-tuks operate to the beaches in the north east as well as Downtown where there is a greater choice of restaurants, bars and shops. Transfer to Hurghada Airport 30 mins.
Nearest beach: 10 mins (El Gouna)
