Hilton Dahab Resort
Opinion
A smart looking resort property enhanced by the water features which resemble lagoon pools but are not for swimming. Some tired looking features including a few loose paving slabs but the main pool and beach are well presented.
The central reception area has a unique style in its open almost amphitheatre style. With a children’s club too, this is well suited to families and adult parties.
Exterior
From the gated entrance a short drive leads past the car park and gardens onto a circular set down area in front of the 2-storey high white facaded main building which is dominated by triple height arched portico with arched blue dome. Wooden framed windows to each of the floors look out towards the street.
Beneath the arch, there is a marble forecourt which leads into the main body of the resort. An inner courtyard is hexagonal in shape and houses the amphitheatre. It is overlooked by some shops, furnished with wicker-style armchairs and sofas and backed by a few stairs leading up to the front entrance.

A broad corridor leads to the main restaurant which is attractively furnished with wicker backed chairs at predominantly circular tables from where the garden can be viewed from the large panoramic windows.

Grounds
Grounds are dominated by the water features which, tempting as they are for a dip, are part of the lagoon landscaping. Paths wind around these across the gardens to the raised pool deck which has a broad terrace furnished with sunloungers and glass backed fixed awnings.
27 clusters of 2-storey buildings each contain 5 rooms with balconies or terraces. The gardens continue down to the seafront to a broad stretch of sandy beach furnished with sunloungers and fixed parasols, where the dive centre and windsurf school are located. The seafood restaurant is located in a detached building at the seafront close to the snack bar.
