Opinion

An adequate but rather drab French chain option in a pleasant area but which is of no interest to tourists and some distance from the main sights. Needs a good makeover. It is popular with local business clients utilising the meeting and conference rooms. A small attached mall includes an Italian restaurant, French pastry shop and a cheerful Mexican eatery as well as a bank, business centre and a few souvenir shops.

Interior

The conventional interior includes an unimaginative grey marble lobby with groups of sofas and a small bright café. On the 1st floor is an unremarkable beige carpeted restaurant with river views and a bland bar with cheap-looking red and green seating and stained glass panels. A casino and health club are located on the 2nd floor.

Grounds

A compact but pleasing 2nd floor pool terrace provides mattressed beds, has a small corner bar & restaurant and overlooks the Nile; suffers traffic noise.
