Opinion

This modern building has a wide selection of dining venues and stylishly furnished public areas. The grounds are attractively designed with a large swimming pool and outdoor entertainment area making this a suitable choice for not only business travellers but also couples and families.

Exterior

A wide car park separates the property from the main road and patches of lawn are adorned with shrubs and palm trees. A cobbled set down area is covered by an enormous portico covering the glass ground floor frontage. The main body of the property is visible from the street with rooms facing forward and back. The drive continues through to a conference facility entrance within the semi-circular building that links this with the sister property Fairmont Towers.

Interior

The double-height predominantly white expansive lobby has polished marble flooring and a large L-shaped reception counter backed by traditional Islamic style brass montage. Throughout the central area, there are swathes of comfortable soft seating and a lobby bar. The main restaurant stands to the furthest corner next to the Arabian a-la-carte venue both of which help to create a piazza style environment. Further restaurants and bars are located in the wide semi-circular link from the lobby to the Fairmont Towers property and include Japanese and Thai venues as well as coffee shop and the large business centre.

Grounds

The grounds are extensive, overlooked by the 6-storey wings of rooms and 2-storey cabanas. The rectangular pool takes central focus, surrounded by a paved terrace furnished with sunloungers and parasols. The gardens feature neatly tended lawns, flower beds, shrubberies and towering palms with, at the rear, a large semi circular terraced area for evening entertainment. There are 3 tennis courts, 2 squash courts and fully equipped fitness room.
